A Guide to Guides: Stage Guides Explained
The purpose of this page is to explain to you what I put on my guides for each stage you can battle on in multiplayer mode. All my stage guides consist of one page and follow the same format. Here is the format below.
In this section I will put some general things like whose home stage is this etc.
I will describe the background of the stage in this section. Many backgrounds have interesting things for you to see if you pay attention to it.
This is the place where I give a detailed description on the layout of the stage. I will also include a picture diagram (not a screen capture, since I don't want to be sued by Nintendo) that I drew myself for those of you who need some visual aid. Here is some words that might appear in this section that you'll want to know and the corresponding colours on the diagram for each object.
|Solid Ground||Solid ground is solid, which means you character cannot pass through it from above or below.||Black|
|Semi Solid Ground||Your character can jump to the top of these from below, but you cannot go through these grounds from above. Ex. DK and Samus stages' main sections.||Blue|
|Platforms||Characters can go through platforms from above and below.||Green|
|Edge||A place where a character can grab on to.||Yellow|
|Undefined Object||Things that don't fit into the above categories but is still a part of the stage.||Red|
This is where I will list and describe the hazards of the stage. Hazards can include passive things such as pits or disappearing platforms and things that actively damage characters like whirlwinds and acid. I will list how much damage each active hazard does and other related info.
Items don't appear on every part of every stage. There are some specific spots where items tends to appear to most. I will try my best to tell you where those spots are, but it's hard to get exactly where the spot is because the items come from the sky on many occasions.
At the start of the match, each player from 1P to 4P appears at a specific spot. Also when a player dies, they will reappear at a specific spot. This section tells you where the spots are.
In this section I will put some general strategies for the stage then some character specific strategies and how each character fares on the stage. The character strategies will start with Luigi and end with Jigglypuff.
This is where I will put my personal opinion on the stage. It will include things such as whether I like the stage or not, what are the good things and what are the bad things about the stage etc.
That's all, folks. You should be able to understand my stage guide pretty well now. Hope you all learn something new from my writings. Thanks for reading.
